Buttermilk Polish Coffee Cake Recipe

This Polish coffee cake recipe or placek z kruszonka in Polish was passed down from my Babcia to my mother. Babcia made this around the holidays, when family was coming to visit and to donate to local events. It rarely lasted more than a few days.

Ingredients 

• 1/2 C Maragine
• 2 Eggs
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 Cups Sugar
• 4 Cups Flour
• 2 teas baking powder
• 2 cups buttermilk
• vanilla

Topping

• 2/3 Cup & flour
• 2/3 c sugar
• 5 tablespoons margarine

Bake 350 - 35-40 minutes
