Pierogi, also known as pierogies, perogies, pirogi, pirohy, pyrohy and varenyky are filled dumplings of Eastern European origin made by wrapping unleavened dough around a savory or sweet filling and cooking in boiling water.
They are the favorite polish food served hot and fresh at Pierogi Fest, Taste of Polonia and Polish heritage festivals across the United States. National Pierogi Day is October 8th in the United States of America.
Get some of these polish dumplings next time you are at a European Market or a Polish store near you.
These designs would be great to wear as a Pierogi race shirt.
